With face masks now mandatory here in the UK for shops, takeaways and public transport, their use is increasingly seen as not only being hygienic and responsible, it's also viewed as a sign of good manners and consideration for others around you.
Our masks are made from Northern Irish Linen and consist of three layers. The inside two layers of linen also form a pocket allowing you to add extra filtration if you wish.
Linen is a cooling material with good wicking properties, and has antimicrobial and antibacterial qualities. Sussex Tweed masks can be washed and reused and are biodegradable. The masks are handmade here in Sussex.
Please note, this is not a medical grade mask, nor is it an N95 respirator and no mask will prevent infection.
This face covering is not personal protective equipment or a medical device. This is not a returnable product.
According to HM Govt here in the UK, "Face coverings... are largely intended to protect others, not the wearer, against the spread of infection because they cover the nose and mouth, which are the main confirmed sources of transmission of the virus that causes coronavirus infection (COVID-19)."
In other words, you wouldn't sneeze next to someone without using a handkerchief.
